Mural Tours in the City of Milwaukee
We offer walking tours of the street art in a few neighborhoods: the East Side, where Black Cat Alley is located, Bay View, and in Wauwatosa, where the NoMAD mural corridor is. If you are interested in a more comprehensive 2-hour street art tour by bus, which would include multiple Milwaukee neighborhoods and a comprehensive history of Milwaukee’s public art history, email us and we can give you a quote.

Located behind the Oriental Theater, the Black Cat Alley district has over 25 murals by mostly Milwaukee artists, but also includes work by visiting muralists as well. This area is home to great cafés, bars and other fun spots too. The Black Cat Alley is one of Milwaukee’s top 10 tourist attractions, and since we founded and manage the place, only we know the real stories behind all the murals!

Along North Avenue in Wauwatosa are 7 murals by 8 artists, between 64th and 70th streets, installed in 2019. This is part of an ongoing corridor of public art being called the North Avenue Mural Arts District, and we can give a tour & backstories of the 7 new murals, as well as an overview of the town of Wauwatosa itself, with recommendations of great places to eat and drink nearby.
Bay View/Street Canvas

All along Kinnickinnic Avenue, Bay View boasts a series of 5 murals that were completed in 2017 by 5 Bay View artists as part of the Bay View “Street Canvas” project by Wallpapered City, one of which is the only augmented-reality mural in the city of Milwaukee. On this tour, you’ll also see several other Bay View murals, and enjoy the other quirky offerings this amazing neighborhood has to offer.
