Special thanks to Lindsey Anderson of Milwaukee Magazine for coverage of Wallpapered City’s work in Milwaukee, most notably the recent Case Maclaim mural we installed this August in the historic Third Ward. The article, featured in the section “Your 414,” covers the recent career of Wallpapered City founder Stacey Williams-Ng, saying,
Milwaukee’s streets have gotten more colorful lately thanks to artists like Stacey Williams-Ng… In recent years, she’s helped realize dozens of large-scale public art projects through her creative agency, Wallpapered City. In 2016, after spending two years convincing East Siders that street art wasn’t synonymous with graffiti, she created Black Cat Alley. In 2017, she invited five local artists, most of whom had never worked on a mural-sized project before, to paint buildings along Kinnickinnic Avenue in Bay View. And earlier this year, she was instrumental in transforming a stretch of North Avenue in East Tosa into an arts district dotted with seven freshly painted murals.
